Building Fund……………………. $500,000
Our plans to expand our reach to the community of Greater Atlanta necessitates the acquisition of a permanent home for Operation Give Smile. For the year 2015 one of our major goals is to acquire a building within Metro Atlanta
. We have done an extensive research and found that a building that would accommodate all of our needs falls into the price range as stated above.
With a building around 7 to 10 thousand square feet we’ll be able to carve out a kitchen where we can prepare hot and cold meals. We’ll also have enough space to store and sort our donations of foods, clothing and other household items.
In this building we should be able to offer a low cost thrift store to cover our regular overhead operating expenses and maintenance of the building.
Transportation Fund…………………… $20,000
We are in desperate need of two reliable trucks and/or vans to pickup our donations in and around Metro Atlanta. We have researched the automobile market and determined that the average truck with low mileage and in good condition are being offered in the range of $10,000.
First Year Operating Fund……………………… $100,000

Mission to Haiti Fund……………………… $5,000
One of our planned missions for 2015 is to the Island of Haiti. We are determine to assist the Haitian people with their continued recovery from the devastation of the recent earthquake. We are aligning ourselves with other charitable organizations to determine some of the immediate needs. We’ll be carrying non-perishable food goods, clothing and some basic household items such as soap, towels, etc.
Mission to Malawi Fund………………………… $20,000
We would like to follow-up on our December 2013 visit to Malawi in the fall of 2015 to help materialize some of the projects that were started in that 2013 visit. The people need guidance and instructions on how to best use the scarce resources in the way of food, clothing and basic everyday hygiene products. They need lessons on how to build houses, schools etc. and how to tap into the electronic age.
Our fund raising activity is continuous as we strive to be prepared for the unexpected. We know that disaster can strike at any time, and we must be prepared on a moments notice to provide help and save lives. With a building, we can offer temporary shelter in times of severe weather along with hot meals, blankets, winter coats and other necessities.
